Steve Harrington: Music has always been a part of Steve's life. Ministry has also been a large part of his life, singing, playing guitar with various gospel groups, serving as a youth pastor, music minister and senior pastor.
The cowboy life and the wide open spaces have been in his heart as well, from raising horses to working as a full-time cowboy. This led to starting a ministry in 2001 for cowboys and for those who were drawn to the "cowboy way". The Mountain Saddle Band started as part of that ministry. Steve has lived near Show Low, Arizona, in the beautiful White Mountains since 1999.
Steve Taylor: As a child growing up in the 40's, Steve found that singing and drawing got him a lot of attention. That, coupled with his love of The West lead to his move to Arizona, in 1957. Over the years and through many occupations, he eventually became a western artist, singer, song writer, poet and actor. Steve says, "I'm thankful everyday for the beauty of God's creation and for bringing me and JoAnn to the White Mountains in 1982, where the 'cowboy way' is still a way of life" and for leading me to sing and play harmonica with Mountain Saddle Band".
Rusty Weiss: Born in Tucson, Rusty is a native of Arizona, and says, "I'm blessed to have lived in The White Mountains since 1964". Affectionately known to his friends as "Da Huntin' Dude", Rusty is an avid hunter and lover of the great outdoors. He has been a cowboy all of his life. That includes rodeo, working cattle, range deputy, outfitting, pack trips and training horses. He loves the "cowboy way" as much as he loves most kinds of music. He played the drums for many years but loves playing the bass most of all. Several years ago, encouraged by Pastor Pete Yarnell and directed by musican Lee Autry, Rusty learned to play the bass guitar, playing in the church praise team. He calls it an honor to be part of the Mountain Saddle Band.
